The judicial inquiry in to the arson of Santal houses in Gaibandha has found that some policemen were involved in the incident during an eviction drive on Nov 6 last year.
The report of the probe by Gaibandha's chief judicial magistrate has been presented before the High Court on Tuesday.
Deputy Attorney General Motahar Hossain presented the summary of the 65-page report before the bench of justices Obaidul Hassan and Krishna Debnath.
Hossain told the media that the court is yet to hold a hearing on the matter as all concerned, including the petitioner have not received a copy.
"The court instructed the concerned Supreme Court wing to forward its copy to all parties by Feb 5. The matter will be included in the cause-list for Feb 7," the State counsel said.
He said that Gaibandha Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Shahidullah has attached 1001 pages of additional documents with the 65-page report.
